31 March 2026
SHAH ALAM - EP Manufacturing Berhad ("EPMB") has announced the proposed acquisition of industrial land assets in Pegoh, Melaka, for RM35.1 million, as part of its long-term strategy to expand its vehicle assembly and component manufacturing operations.
EPMB is currently developing an automotive manufacturing facility at the HICOM Pegoh Industrial Park. Announced in 2023, the project will unfold in several phases and involves an investment of over RM100 million.
"The Proposed Land Acquisition aligns with the Group’s ongoing manufacturing transformation by addressing the critical need for increased capacity,” EPMB said. “By establishing a centralized stockyard for finished vehicles and additional warehousing for local content parts, the Group is better positioned to meet the escalating volume requirements of our OEM partners, while optimizing logistical efficiency.”
EPMB will acquire six vacant industrial land parcels, with a combined land area of approximately 75,873 square metres (18.75 acres) and located about 7 kilometres from the Simpang Ampat Toll Exit of the North-South Expressway (PLUS).
